Go down the hill behind Heritage Circle and past the new Tobacco Pavilion to visit the N.C. Soil and Water Conservation exhibit area. The conservation districts' tents are located across from Smokey Bear and are open daily during the fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Enter through the Tunnel of Soil to learn what’s beneath your feet and the living soil!

Visit the main Conservation booth to play games, see North Carolina’s diversity of soils profiles, and to learn about conservation hot topics such as pollinators, water quality, and composting.


Join us Friday & Saturday, October 12 & 13, to recognize the value of water by participating in the "IMAGINE A DAY WITHOUT WATER" water tasting bar and outreach.
