The Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Each weekend, the Commercial and Education buildings, the Shoppes at Dorton and the outside grounds are host to hundreds of dealers, craftsmen, and booths.
The Flea Market will close Sunday, Sept. 28, in preparation of the annual State Fair and reopen on Saturday, Nov. 8.

Equestrian Exchange Consignment Sale
Equestrian Exchange Tack Consignment Sale is North Carolina's largest equine item consignment sale. It offers the opportunity to buy and sell any equestrian tack, saddles, show clothing, barn supplies, horsewaer and riding needs for all disciplines of riding. New bar code tagging system - refer to website for all details. Consignors earn 75% of all sold and shop before public. Anything related to the equestrian sport is represented at this sale. Barn supplies, show clothing and more! Encourage all non-profit horse progrms and equestrian camps to be involved in buying and selling horse items. Large items such as carts, wagons welcome.

Receiving dates: (drop off your items) are August 27 from 6-9 for 100+ consignment items or Wednesday 8/28 from 10 am - 9 pm; Pick-up unsold items Tuesday 93/:from 4 - 8 pm (this is a no shopping day) or Wednesday 9/4 from 10 am - 2 pm. (this is a no shopping day) .

Thursday 8/29 Volunteers Shop 10 am - 9 pm and Consignors shop 1 pm - 9 pm.; Also Volunteers may shop on Monday 9/2 from 8 am - 5 pm and Consignors from 9 am - 5 pm.

OPEN TO PUBLIC for Preview Sale Thursday Aug.29 from 5-9 pm with $7 Admission.

8/30-9/2 Kennel Club Dog Shows-Tarheel Labor Day Cluster
AKC (American Kennel Club) registered dogs will compete each day for points leading to championships, as well as dog obedience trials for degrees and obedience championship points.  Championship all breed dog show, obedience and rally trials - a different Kennel Club hosts competitions each day. The schedule is: Friday, Alamance Kennel Club; Saturday, Durham Kennel Club; Sunday, Raleigh Kennel Club, and Monday, Cary Kennel Club. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for senior adults and children 7-11 years of age. Free admission with military ID and for children under 7 years of age.

This show offers a vast array of precious and semi-precious gem stones, pearls, beads and findings, minerals, fossils, and finished jewelry in gold and silver including 14K, 18K and platinum fine jewelry, custom designs, fashion jewelry, handcrafted and sterling silver. 6 Unity In The Community Day
The Light 103.9 FM, The Triangle’s Inspiration Station, is hosting its annual Unity in the Community Day on September 6th to honor our service men and women. This event was created in 2002, in wake of the September 11th attacks, as a way to salute our service men and women for the many sacrifices that they make to help keep us safe. Please join us from11am – 6pm for a day of family fun with vendors, activities for the kids, and an inspirational concert featuring both local and national recording artists. 6 Benefit Concert /Fashion Show
Master of Ceremonies Cesar Merlos will host on behalf of the Hope from Notes Organization to present a wide range of artists in concert (Johnny Orr Band, Serge Padilla, Chino Casiano, Lea Chiurco, Orquesta Gardel, Ricardo Diquez, Anthony Alvarez, Yanett La Regia de Monterrey, Clef Hangers, Norman Lowewenthal, Eusebic Gonzalez and Pavelid), and an intermission fashion show. Exhibitors: Body By Vi, Origami Owl, 31 Gifts, Mary Kay, Cookie Lee, Painting by Nora Hernandez, 4 Life, and Japanese Calligraphy by Kito Wheeler.

6-7 NC Gourd Arts & Craft Festival
The 73rd Annual North Carolina Gourd Arts & Crafts Festival features a variety of growing, crafting, and artistic competitive categories as well as gourd crafting workshops and vendors of gourd crafts, dried gourds, seeds, books, and gourd crafting supplies. The Festival also features a display of historical gourds and a free gourd crafting table for kids. Event Hours: Sat from 9 am- 5:30 pm and Sun 10 am - 4 pm. Admission: $2 age 16 and older. Free admission for under age 16, NC Gourd Society members and workshop students.

NC State Championship Horse Show
57th annual N.C. Championship Horse Show - a Charity event sponsored by The Raleigh Host Lions Club.

The Budweiser Clydesdales will perform nightly during the 6 p.m. session of the Saddlebred Show. Tickets are $8 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free with paying adult. 1 child admission per paid adult admission. Patrons may not visit the Clydesdales in their stalling area.

12-14 Supercar Autocross Ride & Drive Experience
Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime driving experience in North Carolina! Our Ferrari and Lamborghini Agility Experience is a 60-minute group-based experience that provides education-based instruction on driving an exotic supercar, drive 3 laps around our autocross course in a Ferrari 360 Modena or Lamborghini Gallardo, and the opportunity to meet fellow supercar enthusiasts. 13-14 Old North State Antique Gun & Military Collector Show
Antique guns, U.S. and foreign military arms and memorabilia exhibited, bought, sold, and traded - WWI, WWII, Civil War, Vietnam, and other conflicts. Also includes relics, books, uniforms and insignias. Free appraisals. Hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $1 for children 6 -12 and free for children age 6 and under.

19 Electric Run TM
Electric Run TM is a dazzling night-time 5k run/walk with brilliant lighting effects synched to electronic dance music! You’ll run, walk, and dance through distinct lands with lights and music custom mixed to match the mood of the lighting elements.
Join us for the year's most electric night race! Regisgtration Opens January 3. On-site registration ENTER Gate 9 from Trinity Road and proceed forward to the Martin Building on Wednesday until 7 pm, Thursday 11 am - 7 pm, Friday 6 pm - racetime at 8pm. Runner waves begin at 8:05 pm - last wave at 9 pm. Finish Line Celebration will end at 11:30 pm. All parking is located off of Trinity Road and entrance at Gate 9.

27-28 DogGoneFast Flyball Club Flyball Tournament 
Flyball dog racing! Come out and watch the flyball dogs! Flyball is a fast-paced family-oriented dog sport that has become a hit on Animal Planet and ESPN's Great Outdoor Games. Dogs and people alike go wild over this relay race with 4 dogs per team. Each dog jumps 4 hurdles and steps on a spring loaded box, which shoots out a tennis ball. The dog catches the ball and runs back over the 4 hurdles. When the dog crosses the starting line the next dog goes. The first team to have all 4 dogs run without errors wins the heat. Sat. 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Spectators and leashed dogs are welcome to come and watch. Free admission.

Antique to modern and collectible toys, sportscards & sports memorabilia,including Barbie, diecast and plastic models, Star Wars, Hot Wheels, Hallmark ornaments, Yu-gi-oh, Lord of Rings, Sci-Fi toys, western toys, NASCAR, etc. Over 70 exhibitors buying, selling & trading!
