The Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday this month. The Commercial and Education buildings and the outside grounds are host to hundreds of dealers, craftsmen, and booths. The Flea Market will close Sunday, Sept. 29, in preparation of the annual State Fair and reopen on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Equestrian Exchange Consignment Sale
Equestrian Exchange Tack Consignment Sale offers the opportunity to buy and consign anything related to the equestrian sport. All riding disciplines represented for all levels of experience. 8/30-9/2 Kennel Club Dog Shows-Tarheel Labor Day Cluster
AKC (American Kennel Club) registered dogs will compete each day for points leading to championships, as well as dog obedience trials for degrees and obedience championship points.  Championship all breed dog show, obedience and rally trials - a different Kennel Club hosts competitions each day. The schedule is: Friday, Alamance Kennel Club; Saturday, Durham Kennel Club; Sunday, Raleigh Kennel Club, and Monday, Cary Kennel Club. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for senior adults and children 7-11 years of age. Carolina Rollergirls brings back the fierce competition of flat-track roller derby in their 2013 season with a Double-header event.

Flyball is a fast-paced family-oriented dog sport that has become a hit on Animal Planet and ESPN's Great Outdoor Games. Dogs and people alike go wild over this relay race with 4 dogs per team. Each dog jumps 4 hurdles and steps on a spring loaded box, which shoots out a tennis ball. The dog catches the ball and runs back over the 4 hurdles.
