Presented by The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with the NC State Fair.
Free Admission! Activities at No Charge!
Gates open at 2:30 Activities begin at 3:00pm
Fun-filled family event includes FREE interactive games, inflatables, live entertainment, music, fireworks and more!!.  Food vendors will also be available.
FIREWORKS are at 9:15 p.m. 
In the event of inclement weather, all indoor activities will remain as scheduled and all outdoor activities will be cancelled. The fireworks display will be rescheduled for Saturday, July 5 at 9:00 p.m.

State 4-H Horse Show
Free admission to spectators.
Activities begin at 5pm - 10pm on Wednesday and 8 am - 10 pm Thursday - Saturday, 8:30 am - 6:00 pm on Sunday. This 5-day horse show will feature the top 4-H exhibitors from seven extension district qualifying shows with over 2800 entries in 113 classes and more than 3-4,000 spectators. Shows in hunt seat, western, saddle seat, non-trotting, games and dressage classes.

This east coast equestrian expo, like the Virginia Equine Extravaganza, will feature three full days of clinics, demonstrations, seminars, shopping and equestrian fun.

Hours are Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General Admission $14/day and $8 for children ages 5 - 11. Discount advance tickets available on our website. Ticket price includes admission to the expo, all clinics, seminars & demonstrations, as well as shopping. Equus Extraordinaire evening show is NOT included in admission price. An Evening Equine Musical Revue will be presented on Friday and Saturday 8 - 10 pm - Admission is $10 general admission or $35 for premium seats. All clinic and demo sessions are "open admission" and registration is NOT required. Tickets for the expo will be available online two months prior to the event.

2008 SPECIAL OLYMPICS NORTH CAROLINA MidSummer Tournament Opening Ceremony and Dance
Opening ceremonies will be in Dorton Arena from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. with dance immediately following in the Exposition Center. Opening Ceremonies will kick off state level competition for over 800 athletes in bowling, equestrian and floor hockey. Free spectator admission.
