Summer Games Opening Ceremonies

Opening ceremony will be from 7:30 - 8:30 pm and kicks off a weekend of competition in five sports for nearly 1200 children and adults with intelluctual disabilities and/or closely related development disabilities. Free Admission and open to the public. Come cheer on the athletes!

4-6 Capital Dressage Classic
Grand Prix dressage. Children's festival on Saturday, large trade fair, used tack and apparel sale, earphone commentary with judges and all levels of dressage competition.
Hours: 8 am - 10 pm on Friday & Saturday - May 29-30, and 8 am - 4 pm on Sunday - May 31. General admission tickets are available at the gate: $6 per day.

5-6 North Carolina Junior Beef Roundup
Youth Livestock Show including steer and breed shows, and showmanship competition. The North Carolina Junior Beef Round-Up is planned and run by a group of juniors from throughout North Carolina, their breed advisors, the Purebred Breeders Council, the North Carolina Cattlemen's Association and the NCSU 4-H and Youth Livestock Department. Event competition begins Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 am.

Antique guns, U.S. and foreign military arms and memorabilia exhibited, bought, sold, and traded - WWI, WWII, Civil War, and other conflicts. Also includes relics, books, uniforms and insignias. Free appraisals. Hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $1 for children 6 -12 and free for children age 5 and under.

Carolina Rollergirls brings back the fierce competition of flat-track roller derby in their 2010 series with a double header!.
