International dressage competition - large trade fair, children's festival on Saturday with pony rides and exhibitions. Olympic games qualifying event Grand Prix Freestyles on Saturday night. The gate opens at 7:00 am and classes start at 8:00 am - 10:30 pm on Friday & Saturday - May 30-31, and 8:00 am - 6:00 pm on Sunday June 1. General admission tickets are available at the gate: $6 per day.

5/31-6/1 North Carolina Junior Beef Roundup
Youth Livestock Show including steer and breed shows, and showmanship competition. The North Carolina Junior Beef Round-Up is planned and run by a group of juniors from throughout North Carolina, their breed advisors, the Purebred Breeders Council, the North Carolina Cattlemen's Association and the NCSU 4-H and Youth Livestock Department. Event competition begins Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 am.

Antique guns, U.S. and foreign military arms and memorabilia exhibited, bought, sold, and traded - WWI, WWII, Civil War, Vietnam, and other conflicts. Hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $1 for children 6 -12 and free for children under 6.

GOT TO BE NC FEST 

Celebrate North Carolina's farm bounty at the first Got to be NC Festival blending the largest assembly of antique farm equipment in the State with a full carnival with games, rides and great food. Mix in the official N.C. Barbecue Cooking Championship sponsored by the N.C. Pork Council, the Got to be NC Agriculture Food Expo featuring tasty foods to sample and buy, horse pull on Friday, antique tractor pulls on Saturday and Sunday, great music, fireworks each night, a petting zoo, pig races and fun for the whole family. Admission is free except for the rides & games and grandstand activites ($5 admission for horse pull, tractor pulls, grandstand concerts).

A private event sponsored by Raleigh Jaycees 8:30 am - 4 pm at Fairgrounds. The NC HOBY Leadership Seminar is a 3-day leadership program for approximately 200 rising high school junions held each June at NCSU in Raleigh. HOBY Ambassadors have an opportunity to develop their critical thinking skills, learn about their personal leadership styles, and form an appreciation for community service by attending panel sessions featuring prominent speakers from over government, businesses, media, and educational communities, and participating in leadership development workshops and activities. HOBY Ambassadors also participate in a community service project within the Triangle Area.
