Every Sat. & Sun.  The Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Each weekend, the Commercial and Education buildings, the Shoppes at Dorton and the outside grounds are host to hundreds of dealers, craftsmen, and booths. Commercial & Education Bldgs.

3-6 Wake County Public Library Festival of Reading and Book Sale
This is Wake County Library's annual book sale. The books are in good condition. Some are pulled out of circulation, and others come from donations if library locations already have duplicate copies. Prices Plenty of bestsellers are up for grabs, as well as cookbooks, textbooks and books on history and religion. Cash, checks and all major credit cards accepted.

Model railroad show and sale sponsored by Neuse River Valley Model Railroad Club, a non-profit educational organization chartered to promote the hobby of model railroading. Several operating layouts on display with many vendors selling train related merchandise. Great fun for kids of ALL ages! Come see us in our expanded building beside the Exposition Center. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturd. ay Admission: $8 covers for age 12 and older - free admission to age 11 and under when accompanied by adult. $1 discount coupon available with Club Flyer or New & Observer coupon, or click on our website. 5-6 Dixie Gun & Knife Classic
Buy, sell or trade. Modern and collectible firearms, custom made knives, hunting and fishing equipment, ammo, gun accessories, reloading supplies and much, much more....something for the whole family. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $9 for adults and children under 12 are free with paying adult. This includes: live music, exhibits, lectures, yoga, meditations, dance movement, group healing and kid’s interactive area with outdoor activities. Show offers a variety of numismatic items including rare coins, precious metals, paper money, tokens, coin collecting books and supplies. Family event! Fun for all! AKC Dog Shows for all Hound breeds - veteran and puppy competitions, American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test 4 p.m. on Saturday, AKC Coonhound Bench Show 4 p.m. Saturday, Free dog show tours both days - see our web site for details and schedule of events. 19-20 Independent Labrador Specialty Dog Show
Raleigh Durham Labrador Retriever Club presents the Independent Labrador Specialty Dog Show. Event Hours 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The club will offer a Canine Good Citizen certification beginning immediately following the conclusion of the show. Owners may pre-register their dog or do so the day of the show. Free admission to public spectators.

40th Annual Wake County 4-H Horse Program sponsored "Open all Youth Horse Show"open to all youth up to 19 years old as of January 1, 2018 and North Central District Horse Show - Hunter, Western, and Walking Horse classes. Championship and Reserve Championshio Awards for multi-age and divisions. Free spectator admission. Show begins at 8 a.m. thru approximately 8 p.m.

23-26 Southern States Regional Morgan Horse Show
This is the 45th year of the Southern States Regional Morgan Horse Show. This is a world class event with 200+ Morgans from across the US traveling to compete in divisions ranging from Hunt and Classic Pleasure to English and Park classes both under saddle and in harness. There are also dressage trail and carriage classes as well as vendors displaying a variety of unique equine gifts - Fun for all ages! Public invited. Spectators Free Admission.
