The Flea Market is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Each weekend, the Commercial and Education buildings, the Shoppes at Dorton and the outside grounds are host to hundreds of dealers, craftsmen, and booths.

Toy Train Sale and Swap Meet
Over 100 vendors featuring Lionel, K-Line, MTH, Weaver, Atlas, American Flyer, Marklin Bachmann, Varney "N", "HO", "O", "S". and "G" gauge trains, accessories, track, switches and hard to find parts, and other toy train related items. Event features over 100 tables plus operating layouts, Kids Club activities, hands-on layouts and train races for the children. Workshops and minor on-site repairs. Auction at 1 p.m. Special Raffle at 3 p.m. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m on Saturday and Sunday. General admission is $6 for adults ($1 off coupon in News & Observer or Event Flyer), free for children under age 13 accompanied by paying adult.

One Tribe Fest is a Local Community Expo and Festival, driven by local and regional talent has expanded to a two-day event! Attendees of One Tribe Fest will hear, see, create, learn, and interact. With a theme of All Is One, the event showcases local artisans and businesses, crafters, natural products, jewelry, holistic healers, intuitive readers, wellness coaches, as well as healing crystals, angelic art, live music, drum circle, food and more. ReefSMART is an expo put on by the non profit Sustainable Reef and consists of vendors offering goods and services throughout the day, raffles drawn throughout the day, and fragging demonstrations in the late afternoon. Come learn how to make your own rock, or participate in a round table discussion on the hot topics in the hobby. Reefers on our local forums refer to ReefSMART as "a frag swap on steroids" or a "mini-MACNA". Doors open 11 a.m. with $20 admission between 11 a.m. - 12 Noon. Free general admission from12 noon - 6 pm.

Dixie Gun & Knife Classic
Buy, sell or trade. Modern and collectible firearms, custom made knives, hunting and fishing equipment, ammo, gun accessories, reloading supplies and much, much more....something for the whole family. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $9 for adults and children under 12 are free with paying adult. 21-22 Independent Labrador Specialty Dog Show
Raleigh Durham Labrador Retriever Club presents the Independent Labrador Specialty Dog Show. Event Hours 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The club will offer a Canine Good Citizen certification beginning immediately following the conclusion of the show. Owners may pre-register their dog or do so the day of the show. Free admission to public spectators.

Southern States Regional Morgan Horse Show
This is the 43rd year of the Southern States Regional Morgan Horse Show. This is a world class event with 200+ Morgans from across the US travelling to compete in divisions ranging from Hunt and Classic Pleasue to English and Park classes both under saddle and in harness. There are also dressage trail and carriage classes as well as vendors displaying a variety of unique equine gifts - Fun for all ages! Public invited. Free Admission.
