2/29-3/1 Dixie Deer Classic
Deer Hunters Convention. This is the 28th annual event designed to offer the latest in hunting equipment from more than 200 vendors. Seminars, displays, trophy scoring, and archery competition. Hours are Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults (get your hand stamped for return admission good all 3 days), children 12 and under are admitted free. Friday is Youth Day - Special Admission Friday only Age 13-18 $5.00

Purebred AKC registered dogs will compete each day in championship dog shows, obebience and rally trials.  A different Kennel Club hosts competitions each day. The schedule is:
Tuesday - Danville Kennel Club;
Wednesday - Salisbury Kennel Club;
Thursday, Alamance Kennel Club;
Friday, Durham Kennel Club;
Saturday, Raleigh Kennel Club;
