The largest agriculture exposition in the Carolinas and Virginia. A major expansion onto the midway of the NC State Fairgrounds means even more equipment, experts and ideas. Filling the NC State Fairgrounds, the show features over 500 manufacturers with expert advice and the latest farm equipment, supplies and services. Events include the FFA tractor and truck driving competitions, the annual meeting of the Tobacco Growers Association of NC, and the Southern National Draft Horse Pull (see separate listings below). NC Ag Development Forum
The 2012 Agricultural Development Forum will feature a panel of experts talking about the economic outlook for farmers and Commissioner Steve Troxler will deliver the State of Agriculture address. Farmers, agribusiness professionals, commodity groups, farm organizations and the public are invited to register for this event to be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Thursday - February 3. 11-12 The Fly Fishing Show
Learn all about fly fishing for fresh and salt water fish. The show has exhibits with all the rods, reels, and products for fly fishing. Lectures and casting demonstrations are scheduled both days by the best celebrity instructors in the sport. . Carolina Roller Derby
Carolina Rollergirls brings back the fierce competition of flat-track roller derby in their 2012 season with a Double-header event.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. - Game 1 starts at 3:00 pm with two home teams going head to head in a continuation Carolina Roller Derby's oldest rivalry. Game 2 begins at 5:00 pm with the Carolina All-Stars facing off with another league from across the United States! 2 games for one low price. Southeast Regional Fund Raiser Cat Show
Come see many cats of numerous breeds, as well as our beloved household pets in competition for awards. All cats entered in the show are available for your viewing pleasure during show hours. There will also be vendors with items for sale for you, your cat, and your cat loving friends. Looking for a feline friend of your own? Cats and kttens will be available for adoption. 24-25 NC Diocese Ignited by Truth Conference
Get Ignited! Dynamic Catholic speakers will help ignite a fire for the Catholic Faith, offering a weekend of spiritual insight and inspiration for people of all faith traditions. Subjects range from Sacred Scripture to Spiritual Combat. The Friday evening workshop is devoted to those considering the Catholic Church. The event begins with Live Praise and Worship Music and will feature two speakers, who will be part of Saturday’s program. Sessions in Spanish will also be offered. Saturday is a full day of presentations, including sessions for students age ten and up, and ending with a Vigil Mass celebrated by Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of the Diocese of Raleigh. Other offerings include Confession, Eucharistic Adoration, and a Vendor and Ministry Fair. Conference hours: Friday, Feb 24: 6:00-10pm; Saturday, Feb 25: 8am-7pm. Friday:Free Admission, Saturday: at the door $45/adult, $25/student age 10+ including lunch. A Native American art show and sale from the southwestern tribes and pueblos. Including Santa Clara, San El Defonso, Acoma, Laguna and Navajo.. Hundreds of articles including jewelry, drums, bows, lances, rugs, pottery, Kachina dolls, artifacts, framed art work and other high quality southwestern art.
