2014 FIRST Robotics Kickoff Event
Kickoff event for the regional high school robotics tournament to be held in Dorton Arena this Spring. FIRST Robotics Kickoff Event will include the Playing Field Display for the regional tournament. The March 2014 Tournament will feature competition between 45+ teams from across the country and Brazil. Additional event information available at:

4-5 Wedding Show

Antique guns, U.S. and foreign military arms and memorabilia exhibited, bought, sold, and traded - WWI, WWII, Civil War, Vietnam, and other conflicts. Also includes relics, books, uniforms and insignias. Free appraisals. Hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $1 for children 6 -12 and free for children age 6 and under.

11 Young Champions Tri-State Cheer Showcase
  Cheerleading competition for ages 4-14 will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hip-Hop America competition 9:30 - 3:00 p.m. Spectator Admission is FREE. Cheer and karate classes are offered year-round to promote physical fitness, good sportsmanship, confidence and competitive spirit and competitions are held each session.

11-12 DogGoneFast Flyball Club Flyball Tournament 
Flyball dog racing! Come out and watch the flyball dogs! Flyball is a fast-paced family-oriented dog sport that has become a hit on Animal Planet and ESPN's Great Outdoor Games. Dogs and people alike go wild over this relay race with 4 dogs per team. Each dog jumps 4 hurdles and steps on a spring loaded box, which shoots out a tennis ball. The dog catches the ball and runs back over the 4 hurdles. When the dog crosses the starting line the next dog goes. The first team to have all 4 dogs run without errors wins the heat. Sat. 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Spectators and leashed dogs are welcome to come and watch. Free admission. www.doggonefast.com

North Carolina All-School Cheer & Dance Champsionship and "Champions of the East" All-Star Cheer & Dance Championship. Doors open at 8:00 am.
