5 2008 Making Magic Motorsports Expo
The 2nd Annual 2008 Making Magic Motorsports Expo fundraiser will be held on January 5, 2008 at Dorton Arena. The Making Magic Alliance helps to promote the health, economic and educational success of vulnerable children and families in Wake County. This one-day fundraising event will bring together the world of NASCAR and the National Hod Rod Association (NHRA) through a variety of activities.
Rev up your New Year by viewing top racecars, challenge your need for speed in virtual racecar simulators, view and bid on specialty items provided by racing teams and community/business partners for the silent auction, and bring the children for magical fun at the Giant Magic Children's Corner with inflatables, X-Box Challenge, and games/activities for all ages. Entertainment on the ½ hour from magicians, to dance groups, singers, bands and featuring the International Rope Skipping team the Bouncing Bulldogs.

General Admission - 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Age 11-Adult: $7.00
Age 6-10: $3.00 Under 6 is FREE! Group discount applied to tickets purchased in groups of 10!

Antique guns, U.S. and foreign military arms and memorabilia exhibited, bought, sold, and traded - WWI, WWII, Civil War, Vietnam, and other conflicts. Flyball is a fast-paced family-oriented dog sport that has become a hit on Animal Planet and ESPN's Great Outdoor Games. Dogs and people alike go wild over this relay race with 4 dogs per team. Each dog jumps 4 hurdles and steps on a spring loaded box, which shoots out a tennis ball. The dog catches the ball and runs back over the 4 hurdles. When the dog crosses the starting line the next dog goes. The first team to have all 4 dogs run without errors wins the heat. Sat. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Free admission.
