The 2011 N.C. State Fair is just around the corner, and this year we have made some changes to the Web & Graphics Design Competition, now in its 17th year.
Competitors will now use an N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services Division as the subject of original graphics and Web page designs. This year's featured division is the NCDA&CS Veterinary Division Animal Welfare Section Spay Neuter Program.
As you prepare your lesson plans and look for opportunities to engage your students in exciting ways, I encourage you to incorporate the State Fair's educational competitions into your agenda. The Web & Graphic Design Competition is an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in new technology, while they hone their creative skills, vie for first-place honors and prize money and learn about more about North Carolina’s number one industry - agriculture, along the way.
