Take a Trek with SCVNGR

 

What’s a trek?
Fall in love with the N.C. State Fair all over again with this interactive exploration of the fairgrounds. From hidden butterflies in the Flower and Garden Show to haiku reviews of your favorite fair food, you’ll be amazed by the sights, sounds and tastes of the State Fair. The more challenges you play, the more points you earn. When the fair ends Oct. 23, we’ll send the top 20 point getters a very special prize. So, make sure you come back to the fair again and again. Also, be on the lookout for special rewards along the way.

  • 0-25 points – You’re a piglet – you still have a lot of room to grow before you can go whole hog at the fair.

  • 26-50 points – You’re a Merry-Go-Round – you’ve taken a few spins around the fairgrounds, but still have some work to do.

  • 51-99 points – You’re a blue ribbon – you’re the biggest fair fanatic of all your friends and deserve high honors.

  • 100 points – You’re Best in Show –you have to be Best in Show because you just earned a perfect score.

 

What’s SCVNGR?
Playing SCVNGR is all about going places, doing challenges and earning points. Discover cool new places, find fun new things to do, share your activity with friends and maybe even earn rewards!

 

How to play using a Smartphone

1. Download the SCVNGR app from the App Store or Android Market.

2. Start the SCVNGR ap and create an account.

3. Once completed, tap the Treks icon and select the Love A Fair Trek.

4. Click on the first location, then choose a challenge to complete! Once complete, go back to the list of Places and pick the next lcoation. Make sure you visit them all.

 

How to play via text

1. Text NCStateFair to 728647.

2. Instructions will be sent via a text message.

3. Respond to move on.
