Circle C Racing pigsCircle C Racing Pigs - Sponsored by Ray Price Harley Davidson - Circle C Farm will bring the Hogway Speedway back to the Fair with its racing potbelly pigs, ducks and pygmy goats. Fairgoers can cheer on the farm animals as they hustle around the track, located near Gate 9, at 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9 p.m. daily.

Preview day races at 5, 7 & 9 p.m.


Hoop Dancing

Take some hoops, a drum and a two free spirits, and what do you get? HoopDrum! Local artists and musician, Julia Hartsell and Scott Crews from Carrboro take the drum solo and hula to a whole new level that's sure to wow the crowds and get them wanting to shake their hips. Forget all that you learned as a kid... It's not hula hooping, it's hoop dancing! HoopDrum will perform in front of the Expo Center at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. daily, except on Preview Day, when they will perform at 6 p.m. only. They will add a show at noon on Saturdays.


Dazzling Mills Family

The Dazzling Mills Family will be back with their high-energy family juggling act with a new addition: the soon-to-be-husband of daughter Michelle. Kris Groth is the newest member of the Dazzling Mills Family, taking the place of mom, Carol, who was injured several years ago in a car accident and no longer performs with the family. The Dazzling Mills Family will perform in front of the Expo Center at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. daily. except on Preview Day when they will perform at 3:30 and 5 p.m. They will add a show at 11 a.m. on Saturdays.


IGX - Interactive Gaming Experience

Ray Price Harley DavidsonGet your gaming fix at the 2009 Adrenaline Jam Tour from IGX, sponsored by Ray Price Harley Davidson. Play the latest electronic game consoles for free, including Nintendo® Wii™, Sony PlayStation® 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360™. Seventeen stations will offer the latest games for players of all ages to enjoy. Gamers can also participate in a Guitar Hero World Tour Video Game Tournament to win up to $100 in gift cards. Preliminary rounds will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17, Sunday, Oct. 18, Thursday, Oct. 22 and Friday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. each day. The top two contestants from each round will receive Fair admission tickets to return on Saturday, Oct. 24 to compete for the Grand Championship. Tournament registration will be first come, first serve and is on October 17 & 18 and October 22 & 23 ONLY beginning at 6 pm

The tent, located behind the Folk Festival Tent near Gate 10, will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily


Fireworks will be shot off from a small island in the middle of the pond next to Gate 8 at 9:45 p.m. every night.

Zambelli Fireworks International will provide the fireworks.
