View The 2009 Web & Graphic Design Competition Winners!

Dear Educators,
The 2009 N.C. State Fair is just around the corner and, as the theme says, it’s “A Whole Lotta Happy!”

If you are looking for innovative ways to engage your students, then I encourage you to incorporate our competitive exhibits into your lesson plans. The Web & Graphic Design Competition, now in its 15th year, challenges Internet-savvy and creative participants to use the N.C. State Fair as the subject of original graphic and Web page designs. Competitors will need to incorporate this year’s theme into their entries.

For 156 years the State Fair has been the place to showcase advancements in agricultural technology. The Web & Graphics Design Competition is an opportunity for the Fair to reward technological creativity while students hone their creative skills, vie for first-place honors and prize money and learn about more about North Carolina’s number one industry – agriculture along the way.

Good luck with your entries and I hope to see you at the Fair Oct. 15-25!

Sincerely,
Steven W. Troxler
Commissioner of Agriculture
