Triangle Town Center to be overtaken by farm animals
Judging takes place Saturday at the mall; first chance to see all the animals

WHAT:

Nineteen farm animals decorated by area high schools will overtake Triangle Town Center as part of the State Fair’s Farm Animal Frenzy art competition.

Judges will be on site at 9 a.m. Saturday to begin judging the artwork.  This is the first chance the schools will have to evaluate the competition and start campaigning for their school to be chosen for the "People’s Choice Award," which is determined through online voting.

Holly Springs High School
Jesse O. Sanderson High School, Raleigh
Jordan High School, Durham
Millbrook High School, Raleigh

WHEN:

Saturday, Sept. 20 - Oct. 10

WHERE:

Triangle Town Center (various locations inside)
5959 Triangle Town Blvd., Raleigh

WHY:

The first-place winner will receive $1,000, second will earn $750 and third will get $500. The results will be announced just prior to the Fair.

The farm animals will be on display at the mall until Oct. 10 when they will be moved to the fairgrounds in preparation for the State Fair.

The public can view the animals and vote online for their favorite school until midnight Wednesday, Oct. 22. A link to the voting site is found at www.ncstatefair.org.

The State Fair runs Oct. 16-26 at the State Fairgrounds.
